What we collect
We collect basic site usage data — the pages you visit and general technical details like browser type — to understand how the directory is used. When someone submits a listing, we also collect the details provided in that form: business name, address, and contact information such as email, phone number or social links. If you sign up for our newsletter, we collect your email address.
How we use it
We use this information to publish and maintain listings in the directory, to contact submitters if we need to verify details or ask a question about a submission, to send newsletter updates to people who’ve signed up for them, and to understand how the site is used so we can improve it.
Photos and images
Photos shown on listings may be sourced from a business’s own website, social media or other public materials, or supplied directly by the owner. If you’d like credit for a photo, or want one changed or removed, email us and we’ll sort it out.
Third parties
Map embeds on listing pages use Google Maps to show a business’s location. Loading a map means Google may collect technical data such as your IP address, in line with Google’s own privacy policy. We may also use basic, aggregated analytics tools to understand overall site traffic — these don’t identify you individually. When we email you — for example to confirm a listing has gone live, or in response to a report — we send it via Resend, an email delivery service. This means your email address and the message are processed on servers in the United States, under Resend’s GDPR data processing agreement and its certification under the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Your rights
You can ask us to correct or remove a listing at any time, and you can ask what personal data we hold about you and request that it be corrected or deleted. Email us and we’ll action your request.
